Position Summary:

As the Marketing Director for our client, you will collaborate closely with our Chief Marketing Officer and the Marketing Team to develop, execute, and evaluate comprehensive marketing initiatives for our brand. We are seeking a dynamic and innovative marketing strategist with exceptional organizational skills and a creative mindset. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical abilities driven by data insights and a proactive approach to leadership. 

The ideal candidate is a dynamic and innovative marketing strategist with an extrovert personality, adept at driving foot traffic to Brick-and-Mortar locations through both traditional and digital marketing channels including direct mail, print, digital, on-site, and email marketing.

This role requires the candidate to be based out of San Rafael (preferred), or Houston, TX, Colorado Springs, CO, Beaverton, OR, or Boise, ID and be able to work onsite. Frequent traveling within the continental US is required up to 50% of the time.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute localized brand and marketing strategies for our client across all locations.
  • Drive foot traffic to Brick-and-Mortar physical locations through traditional and digital marketing channels.
  • Define localized brand recognition strategies for each club’s geographic location.
  • Set marketing KPIs and build productive relationships across different functional areas.
  • Engage local communities to drive business to physical locations.
  • Manage marketing budgets and oversee advertising media and production expenses.
  • Conceptualize and manage marketing campaigns from ideation to completion.
  • Collaborate with executives to develop internal and external marketing communications.
  • Analyze consumer marketing campaigns to gauge effectiveness and inform future strategies.
  • Lead consumer and industry events to elevate our client’s brand.
  • Manage public relations messaging and handle issues as they arise.
  • Collaborate with the digital marketing team to enhance online presence and reputation.
  • Mentor club managers and marketing team members.
  • Coordinate with PR teams for new club openings.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in fitness centers, gyms, or health clubs strongly preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time within the continental US.
  • Proven track record of driving foot traffic through traditional and digital marketing channels.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with a focus on strategic thinking and creativity.
  • Strong writing and editorial skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and WordPress.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a strong attention to detail.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Dynamic and analytical approach to marketing strategy.

Compensation:

  • Salary: up to $120,000 per year
  • Bonus: Annual bonus earning potential of 17.5% based on performance.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to sit, stand, walk, and lift up to 10 pounds.

Work Environment:

The work environment is typically moderate in noise level.
