About Our Client: Our client is a leading fitness franchise group with multiple locations in the Richmond area, dedicated to transforming lives through fitness. Their mission is to provide exceptional fitness experiences to their members, empowering them to achieve their health and wellness goals. As they continue to expand and grow, they are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to lead their marketing efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of direct report marketers focused on new member acquisitions, membership onboarding, retention strategies, and presale location openings.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to drive member growth and retention across all locations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, sales, and finance to ensure alignment and execution of marketing initiatives.
  • Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
  • Oversee the development of marketing collateral, digital content, and advertising campaigns to support brand awareness and lead generation efforts.
  • Monitor and optimize marketing performance through data-driven insights and KPI tracking.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in fitness marketing.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • New Member Acquisition Rate: Measure the percentage increase in new member sign-ups compared to previous periods.
  • Membership Retention Rate: Track the percentage of members who renew their memberships at the end of each term.
  • Presale Location Opening Success: Evaluate the effectiveness of presale marketing efforts by measuring the number of pre-sold memberships and overall interest generated.
  • Marketing ROI (Return on Investment): Assess the return on investment for marketing campaigns and initiatives based on revenue generated versus marketing spend.
  • Customer Lifetime Value (CLV): Monitor the average value of a customer over their entire relationship with the franchise, including initial sign-up, additional purchases, and referrals.
  • Brand Awareness Metrics: Measure brand recognition and awareness through surveys, online mentions, and social media engagement metrics.
  • Marketing Campaign Performance: Evaluate the success of individual marketing campaigns based on predefined objectives such as lead generation, conversion rates, and engagement metrics.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in marketing leadership roles within the fitness industry.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies that drive business growth and achieve revenue targets.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team of marketers.
  • Excellent analytical abilities with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
  • Passion for health, fitness, and wellness industry.

Compensation:

  • $150,000/year
